About the Author

Dean (Dac) Collins is currently a Police Detective in central Ohio and a retired master sergeant in the Ohio Air National Guard. In 2019, Dac was awarded a Writer EXPY® from the National Association of Experts, writers and Speakers®.

Dean's passion for writing, and his love of music and the family dogs, Captain Chunklez and Private Fynn, inspired this new book. Dean has taught powerful time-tested success principles to kids using subtle messaging while teaching their favorite songs via guitar and harmonica.

In addition to writing empowering children's books, Dean enjoys being active in many organizations including Books & Badges, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fairfield county, Emmaus Ministry Music Director, and Kairos Prison Ministries. He also teaches music lessons to at-risk kids and veterans at the local VA Hospital.

In his spare time, Dean relaxes by playing in his band at various venues, including anywhere veterans and music lovers gather. The D. DAC Collins Band is a local favorite, playing a mix of country, 70s/80s rock and gospel.
